Cycling Club Hackney MembershipCycling Club Hackney (CCH) is open to all comers from all walks who'd like to enjoy exercise and club life, no matter the ability. Free or subsidised cycling equipment is available, our structured sessions are lead by qualified coaches. Exploring London, the nearby countryside and beyond is the thing to do with CCH. One of the main aims is to assist Hackney's young people to access the sport of cycling in a safe friendly environment. Also to continue working in the community to help make quality cycling a sport and hobby for everyone. Membership fees for Cycling Club Hackney are £30 for senior members, £10 for youth members. If for any reason the membership fees are a barrier to joining at this time, please contact club membership without delay. 2nd claim, students, unemployed/low-waged £20 Family membership discounts - see BC site for prices. Full membership requires a commitment to support at least one CCH promoted event per year. Anyone is welcome to come along and meet us and join in our activities on a no-obligation basis for one month. After one month, if you like us and want to continue then we require you to be a member. CCH is affiliated to British Cycling, Cycling Time Trials, Eastern Road Race League and the Elmy Cycles Eastern Cyclo-Cross League. We require you to be a member if you want to race or time trial in our club colours. Please note that a junior member is anyone who is under 18 years old on 1st January 2022. |
Club Rides - Cycling Club Hackney does not provide Third Party Insurance but in the interests of safeguarding the club and its members against liability to third parties during club rides and club events, it is a condition of membership that all members MUST have Third Party liability Insurance. This can be obtained through British Cycling, CTC or the LCC. Alternatively please check your own existing policies such as household or motor to see if you are covered.
Racing - To compete in Road and Track racing events you must have a licence and therefore be a member of British Cycling which carries their own third party insurance cover. Time Trials - To compete in Club and Open events you must be a member of a club affiliated to Cycling Time Trials (CTT). CCH is affiliated to CTT. This means that as a club member you will be covered by the CTT Insurance. |
